Schunk THL series of precision self-centering steady rests can be used on virtually all conventional and CNC lathes.
Steady rests are used to support workpieces during machining operations to prevent bending, improve surface finish, minimise taper cutting and reduce tool wear. They can be set up as stationary or travelling steadies and are actuated by hydraulic or pneumatic pressure.
The Schunk THL series is available in 5 sizes covering a range of diameters from 4mm up to 310mm.
